FOOD WASTE 2015: From Theory to Practice

New Town Hall Prague

October 1, 2015

FOOD WASTE 2015 international conference: Experts address how to reduce food waste.

The annual “FOOD WASTE 2015: From Theory to Practice” conference, with participation by foreign speakers, presents the latest data on food waste, as well as trends of how modern companies, institutions and non-profit organizations are working to prevent food waste.

The conference’s original concept provides space to leading experts from business and the public sector, and presents NGOs involved in providing food to the needy with inspiration from home and abroad.

In the morning, the conference’s professional section provides a platform for presentations by experts and representatives from ministries, supervisory institutions and companies both from the Czech Republic and abroad. Participants can look forward to the results of an exclusive survey on food waste, innovative projects by companies such as Tesco and Sodexo, presentations by experts from the European organization EU FUSIONS and representatives of the University of Bologna, and a debate with representatives from several European food banks.

The interactive afternoon section includes a workshop and two parallel sessions focused on social innovation projects and the redistribution of food and agriculture surpluses, also with the participation of representatives from several European countries.

We invite you to register for the conference, which represents a unique opportunity for building new partnerships and for exchanging information, best practices and views on food waste prevention and solutions.

Working language of the conference is English and Czech. Simultaneous interpreting will be provided.
